After graduating from the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Akaki joined a corporate strategy team in a Japanese sporting goods company. She then became interested in global human resources management and changed her career to become an HR consultant for a Japanese consulting firm, where she worked on projects creating or revising personnel systems and analyzing employee satisfaction surveys. In 2015, she was seconded to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a member of the planning team for the “World Assembly for Women (WAW!)” hosted by the Japanese government.
After working at a company as a program coordinator for conferences for multi-stakeholder leaders, she joined ChangeWAVE. Inc.
